New poetry is out!
My three new poems, Natasha, Stepping out on Derby Day and Dysmorphic are all published in the latest issues of Minerva Rising. It’s the women’s suffrage issue, so it’s great read. I think it is only available on line in the UK (although I hope to have a print copy) but it is beautifully produced.Continue reading “New poetry is out!”
Wardrobe malfunctions and Premieres
Stuck in traffic and listening to the radio this morning, I heard that one of the journalists went to the Bond premiere only to discover he had an issue with his posh new shoes: he had two left feet. It got me thinking. The last film Premiere I attended – OK, the ONLY one, wasContinue reading “Wardrobe malfunctions and Premieres”
How I managed to get fuel…
I set the alarm for 3.15 am on Sunday morning and headed out to the 24 hour garage. It seems a few people had the same cunning plan, but there were only 4 people on the forecourt, so I have full tank. What a mess this country is!

Families, caught.
Today, in court 3, a judge stole my son. He knew nothing about me, or our lives, and how far we’d come. All he had were some pieces of paper, written by a couple of women, both named Claire. About how I’d been beaten and tried not to show it; diminished with words; and althoughContinue reading “Families, caught.”
It’s all in your head..
I had a bit of interest when I posted Dysmorphic yesterday, and, after a busy day sorting out an A level Literature course for my student, I thought I would follow up on that. Dysmorphia. I watched a TV programme about this condition, and I totally related to it – the way people described it,Continue reading “It’s all in your head..”
An article about me.
I am in a magazine!
This month, I am in the National Autistic Society’s magazine, Your Autism . This is available to members, but I will upload a photo of the article. It describes being diagnosed late in life, how it affects me, and how I use my weird and wonderful brain to help others. I hope it debunks someContinue reading “I am in a magazine!”
Spooky things!
A strong thing has happened – two ghosts have tried to connect with me. (if you believe in that sort of thing, and TBH I am sceptical with an open mind… Firstly, I was thinking about someone who has passed when I drove past the end of their road, and a van with their nameContinue reading “Spooky things!”
